Halloween costumes for twins – Scuba Divers!

I was trying to come up with good Halloween costumes for my twins…then it hit me…scuba divers!!  These were super easy to make!  I think the whole project cost no more than $20.

 

 

Supplies:

I got the black clothes at Walmart – onesies, pants, hats, “socks”

Black felt – Walmart – used to make the flippers

Spray paint – Walmart

Duck Tape – Walmart and Dollar Tree

Black tubing – Lowe’s

Clear Pacifiers – Walmart

Goggles – Dollar Tree

Velcro – Walmart

2 Liter pop bottles

 

How I did it:

The pictures pretty much sum it up, but it was super easy!  All the clothes I got at Walmart.  The socks were actually mittens.  They were a two pack for 97 cents.  I cut off the thumbs and sewed it together so they were socks!  The goggles I got at the Dollar Tree.

First, I spray painted 2 liter pop bottles silver..  When they were completely dry, I put black duck tape around it and then another skinnier, brighter piece around that.  I got the skinnier neon colors at the Dollar Tree.  I then placed Velcro on the back of the pop bottles.  In the cap, I made a hole and took my black piping and shoved it in there.  It wasnt going anywhere so I didnt need to glue or tape it.  I then took the pacifier and used black duck tape to tape it to the end of the black piping.  I put velcro on the back of the twins shirts so secure the “tank”.

See how easy it was?  It was a big hit with all the neighbors!

Baptism Cake from Bethel Bakery

This…cake…was…AMAZING!  Bethel Bakery is THE best!  I told them exactly what I wanted and they nailed it!  We got a white almond batter, white chocolate mousse filling, disco dust (the rainbow sparkle dust), and scroll work.

 

 

 

 

Just Baptized – Cute to display at Baptism!

I made the sign on the computer, taped it on, and used ribbon to attach the formula containers and bottles.

Baptism Finger Food – Marshmellows dipped in chocolate

These were real easy to make.  You can put them on a stick or just dip them and put them all in a dish.

 

Supplies:

Marshmallows

Chocolate

Decorations

Lollipop Sticks (optional)

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Melt your chocolate which ever way you choose.  I used the double boil method because I did not have my chocolate melter machine yet.

If you are using lollipop sticks, put the stick in the lollipop and dip a little bit in chocolate.  If not, just dip the marshmallow in the chocolate almost half way.  I then dipped them in a bowl of sprinkles and set a side to dry.  Since these were for the twins baptism, I wrapped them up in little wrappers with a bow and added a cross.

I was in the hospital for a month, so I typed the letter and had my husband print them and bring them to me in the hospital. After the twins were born, we were still there for a while and got their birth certificates in only a couple days, so I had him make copies of them for me to put with the letters. Instructions:

Melt the chocolate which ever way you prefer.  I used the double boil method for this.  Once the chocolate is melted, cover the pretzel rod in the chocolate and lay on wax paper to start drying.  When they are semi dry, sprinkle with decorations.

 

Put them in the freezer for 3 minutes to finish drying.  When done, bag and tie!

 

 

White Chocolate Covered Oreo Lollipops for Baptism Favors

Supplies:

 

Package of double stuff Oreos (REGULAR ONES WILL NOT WORK!)

Lollipop sticks

White chocolate melts (or any color you wish)

Ribbon

Treat Bags

 

I made these before I bought my chocolate melter, but they were still easy to make.

 

Melt the chocolate which ever way you prefer.  I used the double boil method for this.  While the chocolate is melting, stick the lollipop sticks in the oreos.

Once the chocolate is melted, dip the oreos into the chocolate and completely cover.  I used a cakepop stand to dry them on.

When they are somewhat dry, I added the pearl beads.  If you add them to early, they will just slide right off.

After I made all of them, I put them in the freezer for 3 minutes.  I then wrapped them up and put on tiny crosses as a finishing touch.
